The Big Picture
Joy.
We often experience a sharper sense of an emotion after its long absence.
That thing we all feel today, even a creature as road-hardened, weary, and jaded as I am, is joy.
I know it seems alien. I know it seems unreal.
This essay will be more personal than most because I’ve been wrangling with this weird, unaccustomed stranger of a feeling in politics and in my personal life.
It’s joy.
