At this point, we all know Project 2025’s pernicious Big Government statism, but there’s a more troublesome claque of tech weirdos we’ve discussed before. Yes, Project 2025 has its Washington-based policy goons from the Heritage Foundation and a cadre of culture-warriors cosplaying government reformers. Still, the Broligarchy is moving into a position in American governance—if not government per se—since even Elon Musk’s beloved DOGE is an external advisory board with no power to cut programs or move money outside of appropriations.
Musk has the kind of messianic love from the MAGA base enjoyed only by Trump himself. Still, the loud and quiet roles of Peter Thiel, Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks, Marc Andreessen, and many others make them profoundly influential figures in American political life. Influenced by their pet Dark Enlightenment “philosopher” Curtis Yarvin — they will spark revolutionary policy changes for the country because of their ability to influence Trump.
