we need more strong ads like this to eliminate trump and the current gop insanity…

I like carteldon because it’s more accurate, or mafiadon, but I get that Doncoyote sounds like Don Quixote who was the a chivalrous dreamer. And coyote is a sneaky predator who is quite a successful hunter. Not sure MAGAts will mind that one, tho granted, they wouldn’t know who Don Quixote is either…

Historian here. This is a terrible ad. It features images of Trump standing tall. Apparently, Rick has forgotten the lesson of the Reagan years. They didn’t care what you said about him as long as you showed pictures of him in command. When Leslie Stahl ran a long tough piece on Reagan critical of his cuts to the poor, the administration was thrilled. they’d gotten a free 5 minute commercial for Reagan, said Deaver.

If you are going to hit Trump, hit him — but don’t fill up the screen with his image as a tough guy.

I guess these ads still work, but honestly, I just tune them out as scare mongering. I would prefer a more educational and direct approach:

(montage of GOP electeds stating the border in crisis, along with the dates of the statements)

(voiceover: "Joe Biden says he can't snap his fingers and close the border. Laws need to be changed.")

(Lankford's videos of him saying this is the best bill that the GOP will ever get, yada yada yada)

(voiceover: "Donald Trump says no - don't pass it. He wants to use this issue to get elected .")

(video of Donald Trump: "A lot of the senators are trying to say, respectfully, they're blaming it on me. I say, that's OK. Please blame it on me. Please.")

(voiceover: "So something that is an emergency and an immediate crisis needs to wait until Jan 20th, 2025 because Donald Trump's political needs are more important that the security of the United States.")

I would throw in something snarky like: (voiceover: "What have we become?")

Lincoln Project ads have been on target and pithy- very thankful.

I know Super Bowl ads are wildly crazy, but maybe consider just one little quisky.

Dynamite ad! My only complaint is that the photo of Tramp near the end is far too pretty. Show him as he is today...orange pancake and all! Cheers!

No more going gentle, if you ever were. We need to be titanium in strength and laser in focus. We will not have another chance.

I think Don Coyote is the best name. After all he tilts at windmills.

What will air during the Super Bowl?
