Rick, just a happier comment. Even though you bought that day clearly back into my mind, I just want to say blessings to your mom, and Happy Birthday to you.
The conversations and discussions are always enlightening. I liked the Ad, "Elbow manic". It captured the essence of the stupidity and out of control behavior of the GOP.
The 1939 Nazi Rally in Madison Square was haunting. I knew there were Nazi sympathizers in our country through the 1930's leading right up to and through WWII, but I had no idea of how blatant it was. When this film clip was over, I could feel the hush that I just know descended on all who were viewing that horror. These is just nothing else to say.
Tara and Rick are both right, well, pretty much always, but specifically about how chilling the NYC 1939 Nazi footage is, and the stomach-churning disgust for Trump's declaration that he'll accept election results, "if I win." Don't let that smirky smile on his big, fat face fool you, he was NOT kidding, as we saw after his LOSS. If THEY get control of the US government, a LOT of things will change, and it might even trickle down to your neighborhood, right where you live. They have PLANS. They're written down, and they can't WAIT to put them into effect.
Also, DO NOT MISS watching the odious Steve Bannon opine on the final episode of "The Circus." I understand he's the reason we have the word, "blowhard," but this interview is off-the-wall insane, not because it's unbelievable, but because it could very well come to pass. With apologies for the link to Xitter, it was the only place I could find the full interview. The really scary Bannon stuff comes near the end: https://twitter.com/i/status/1723907110394794290
I’ve been in a rabbit hole on america’s near miss with becoming a Nazi nation. The balloon rally me up in the high water mark, but it’s still haunts me how widespread it was.
And folks should definitely watch the Bannon interview. He’s the architect and implementer of evil.
I also forgot to mention how much I LOVED the questions and reactions of both John Heileman and Tim Miller. They pretty much gave Bannon "WTF-is-wrong-with-you energy" throughout and he barreled through like the true believer he is. I used to think Stephen Miller was the Goebbels of the Trump Reich, but it's actually Bannon, with S. Miller as his apprentice. I said somewhere else yesterday, that I don't have much belief for God or the Devil, but I DO believe in evil, and Bannon... wow!
As it turns out, Rick was born on 11/21/1963. Rick, it's too late. I already had that drink for you. You didn't complain about it so I'll do the same thing on your real birthday. As it turns out Janet, your birthday is 7 days before his. My belated birthday wishes to you. As Joyce Vance always says, "We're in this together."
Happy birthday, Rick. My birthday is two days before yours, but I’m a little older than you. Also, there were a few times during this video that I could not stop laughing. Your impersonations are hilarious. You said you might be working “blue,” but I don’t know that anything was mentioned about it in this broadcast. Maybe I missed it. Are you doing something for the Biden campaign? They could use the help. Enjoy the weekend!
I'm going to have a drink for you. I hope you like bourbon. That's what I'm having. I'll let you know if you don't like it. Happy Birthday, today or whenever.
And now for a little unasked for piece of advice. I think the Lincoln Project should get Hadley from Owensboro Kentucky to do another public service announcement (warning) about the same topic and the threat of Republican control of Congress. She message was very poignant and compelling. And it worked in Kentucky
I believe congratulations are in order. After all the wonderful things you have been saying about Joe Biden, it seemed like it was just a matter of time. They (the global they) would be damned fools not to approach you with a proposition. I could be totally off base, but I suspect as a professional consultant, you have worked for clients you believed in less. It's kind of like being a defense attorney. They represent people they know are guilty, but they make sure their clients get the due process that is promised to them in the constitution. I truly wish you the very best. For all our sakes.
Read the book by Bradley W. Hart called Hitler’s American Friends it's an eye opener.

Powerful foitage of the American Nazi party rally in NYC 1929. Lest we think it can't happen here.

Is today Rick's birthday?
Happy Birthday, young pup. Your work continues to amaze me.
