There are a few things no one is saying, or is AVOIDING saying that need to be pointed out:
1. The 2024 election cycle will NOT be the end of MAGA, no matter how staggering the losses might (not?) be. Think Germany, 1923-'32. Hitler was imprisoned and supposedly left for dead, politically. But he'd touched a nerve, blaming the Jews and globalists for the stab in the back" that ended WWI, and the destructive penalties they accepted as part of the Armistice.
Fast forward to 'merica, 2020s. Despite a thriving economy, record low unemployment, historic stock market numbers, etc ... MAGA is angry over trans bathrooms, the border (that they don't really want fixed) and Hindenburg's age. Sorry, Biden's age.
If Trump is slaughtered in '24, if the House flips, if the Dems gain seats in the Senate, if Trump is found guilty of all of the 91 felonies, the right wing insanity will get STRONGER. And If Trump is imprisoned, that just means it's 1923 again. Fox News will continue to poison the airwaves; the Court of Clarence will still be around to fuel our decline; and the NYT will keep telling us the world is ending because Joe Biden is old.
Don't worry; things will get worse
Until at some point, like in the 1850s in America and the '30s in Germany, there's a cataclysmic event that will threaten to burn it all down. A civil war, secession, SOMETHING, and all the while China and Russia will take advantage of our dysfunction to (try to) turn us into a 3rd world country.
The 2024 elections aren't meaningless. But don't make the mistake of thinking the raging right wing storm is going away
2. Russia is paying a whole lot of Republicans and they're performing admirably. Why did 8 GOP Senators go to Moscow on July 4th? Why are people like Mike Johnson, Grassley, Rand Paul, John Kennedy and others doing Russia's bidding? If they start to talk like Boris and Natasha, don't be surprised.
I wrote this recently here and some over unctuous lawyerly type accused me of "making serious criminal allegations without proof".
OK chief, just keep your head in the sand and ignore the obvious signs. The media's got your back.
Rand Paul carrying a letter to Putin? John Kennedy (and probably the other Moscow 8) voting against Ukraine aid? Mike Johnson doesn't have a bank account, but seems totally willing to carry out Putin's agenda daily?
Why?
Does anyone actually believe this is about their ideology? Or that they and their party that's led us to $34T in debt with their ignorant tax cuts are now concerned about fiscal sanity?
WILL SOMEONE WITH A PLATFORM PLEASE START WRITING ABOUT THIS? INVESTIGATING IT?
Putin owns the GOP, and ... crickets. A story here and there, mostly anecdotal in nature.
Otherwise, Joes is old, Hunter's laptop, trans bathrooms.
America increasingly seems to me to have lost its way. We've had it too good for too long
Now, we're dying. Like the 76 year old, grossly overweight country clubber who's lived on golf, whiskey and roast beef for the last 40 years. Thinks he's got it all goin'
He's a week away from a widow maker
There's a line in a Grateful Dead song that comes to mind:
"Maybe you had too much too fast, and just overplayed your part"
'merica, 2024.
More similar than you think with Germany '23
Just ask the Nazis popping up on ballots in Missouri and North Carolina and at CPAC
This particular podcast makes it feel like there is no hope....

I wonder if I can sue Trump for mental anguish and stress, threats to take away healthcare, etc.
You could win spectacularly and the Court of Clarence will overturn it
