I have decided to focus on the small got I may be able to accomplish. I can introduce voters in my county to Project 2025 through small group viewings of Bad Faith. I can organize call groups to encourage inactive registered Democrats to vote. That’s a start.

Thank you for your insightful comments, Rick. I'm not sure your strong criticism of the Secret Service is warranted, though. I'm no expert, but I'm sure the security provided to an ex-president and/or presidential candidate is a vastly different level than provided to a current president, for the obvious reason that the impact of a possible assassination of a candidate on the running of the government is relatively minimal. Perhaps mistakes were made, but more likely they were following protocol for security of an ex-president and presidential candidate.

This was my thought too. It didn't matter which big, famous political figure was on the stage--Trump, Biden, whoever--Crooks would have aimed that rifle at him. It was about the psyche of the shooter, and the power and celebrity of the man he was trying to take down so that he could score the biggest win, as you wrote.

He was not seriously hurt in face it was shattered glass that pierced his ear not a bullet. He loves being a victim. He fist pumping arm more theater. BUT, what I still don't understand is how a bullet that comes out of an AR-15, presumably one with a tumbler, how does that bullet not tear an ear off when it makes contact. if his ear was truly grazed by that kind of bullet, like Bill Maher said, he has got to be the luckiest bastard alive. ps; now that he has vance saying he will do the false elector thang that pence would not, I am truly worried. Rick, please be safe. Will the FBI do a deeper dive to see if there were other profiles that were more anonymous? If 1 did an eval on cook's brain and compared it to other mass shooters, what similarities would we see? What would we see in common about their general profile-white loners?
What does the event say about the need for Secret Service, FBI and CIA to be totally overhauled? I don't just mean more people, more $. A better sense into the psych part of who the Secret Service protects. Not being a cult member. I don't think Secret Service really understands trump's brain. In that sense, you could have 50 people on trump and he'd do what he did after. And 1 can only have so many Secret Service agents protecting x many people as people are living longer. So how does that part of it work? I think it was Frank yesterday who said that there's fewer people in Secret Service than people realize.
