Kinzinger is really engaging to listen to...hope he reinvents himself as a Democrat....I know it’s hard for you X-Repubs to own that thought but I think the Dems need more of you guys signing up...hope you and Adam aren’t wasting your time thinking the GOP will be anything worth supporting in the near future...xx G
This was a very good discussion, Rick. Renegade? Yes! Maverick, perhaps down the road. Adam Kinzinger could be a bit of both. I think that is a good thing. But actually, who really cares? What I heard was a person of moral courage with leadership qualities. Nice to hear that perhaps down the road he might seek some sort of service, political or otherwise. Why renegade? Why not maverick? A renegade is someone who switches sides and then switches back. He re negates. See eg the essay "renegade kautsky" by lenin. Apostates similar a reconverted apostates nearly the same. I use words with care.
