I find the Substack app to be confusing. For example, it lists Rick’s September 11 post as “new” two weeks later. I find myself relying on his emails instead of the app.

Oh no, you got it all wrong. It was the best debate performance ever. Trump won by a country mile, she’s a commie, ‘they’ ARE eating the pets, and the moderators were biased. Just ask him, he’ll tell you

Rick, you write a great narrative. It made me feel hopeful to read it...but I supported Harris before the debate and post-debate Trump's numbers haven't really changed. There's a factor in Trumpland we don't understand. Any ideas for influencing it?

Rick has the best words (and a vocabulary superior to mine) and he crafts them together to create a striking visual. Great work! Great message!

If I could “like” this post ten times, I would. Well done!! It was fabulous!

His claims about immigration were hilarious. Apparently they made it all the way to Ohio and started eating cats! Makes me wonder how they made it *checks maps* 1400 miles without being apprehended!!!

Idk... Maybe it's just me but I feel like I would notice roughly 677,000 people per day heading north in droves, regardless of their nationality or destination.

That's the entire population of Montenegro crossing somewhere along 1954 miles of fence/wall/river filled with razor wire EVERY DAY (according to Grandpa Shitzemself,) since Biden took office.

Somehow no one noticed our population increasing by 901,087,000 over the last 1331 days. Weird, right???

That wasn’t brown hair. It was lavender- perhaps he wanted to appear more liberal to the voters.

Brilliant review Rick. One for the history books indeed.

I’m amazed that so many Trumpy’s believe he won the debate. WTF were they watching?

I'm not sure they really believe it. But they believe in a lot of totally stupid shit so it wouldn't surprise.

I hope Rick addresses now how the campaign should move forward. As little as I know about campaigns, it seems to me that if you are driving the narrative, you deprive your opponent's campaign of oxygen, and then you probably win. When you feed the press a narrative and they run with it, what does the other side do?

Donations to Trump might start drying up. His followers spent all their money on NFT trading cards and butt-ugly gold shoes (I'd like to see someone wear those things to a pickup basketball game in the park). Donating to him now is going to start to look like a waste. He might rather they bought shoes. Or maybe he can get money hawking Hulk Hogan beer (I can't believe this is where we are at). Maybe he'll wind up like Giuliani selling supplement fruit/vegetable pills on a podcast so we can all have Rudy's healthy glow.

So what now Rick? The narrative now is she won the debate, she is presidential, and Trump totally fucked up. While they splutter on about how they actually won, how the moderators are unfair, other things no one cares about, what does the Harris/Walz campaign do to grab the initiative?

It would seem to me now is the time to maybe do a town hall event, and really flesh out policy. I think their efforts to make homes affordable to first time buyers is really important. Earlier this year I heard younger people at the airport in Seattle talking about how if you own a home, you are good, but if you don't, good luck. Home affordability is a major issue and she has some policy there.

They need to own next week.

2 rallies today in North Carolina, cashing in on her debate victory.

She's got the wind in her sails now, polls already rising, campaign funds pouring in ($50 million from debate night) while Trump's team is feeling what Dems felt after Joe's disastrous debate - we're fucked!

What's her plan forward? Just keep on doing what you're doing.

I know rallies drive things locally, but don't you think she's got to get the press onto another narrative as soon as she can? They'll be on something else by next week, and given the fact that people tend to be lazy, they need to be told what that narrative is going to be.

I'd like to see a townhall someplace maybe, or a series of interviews.

yes to all of that.

I was a basketball coach and right now I'd say "full court press"

I loved every mother fucking minute of it. My favorite was the rally crowd dig. Watching her face as he gobbled the bait made me laugh and yell “she got him”. I watched as the moderator posed the next question and with his mic off he said those beautiful words, they were the best words, I don’t think anyone has ever used better words, my English professor friends and the entire faculty at MIT(and they are really smart) told me “sir, those are the best words”….”I’d like to respond to that”. Mic comes on and she sets the hook with a huge(it is as biggly) smile on her face knowing she got him. I was so pleased but really, not surprised. I’ve watched her in the senate with far more intelligent adversaries and seen them fold.

So now, enough… onward.

I would also like to thank you and the Lincoln for your shadow coaching this team. These guys are smart and if I was them would have a group watching every video of you guys and the Bullwork for any hints or advice they might drop. One of my favorite which I think, may have come directly from you, was your advice after the Biden debate. You said that they need to focus not on an election that is Biden vs Trump but rather America vs Trump! This is what her focus is. Thank you… THANK YOU! Onward!

She was clearly in control from the handshake on. It was so clear. The only question is this: did trump's arrogance stop him from preparing at all, did he prepare and was too demented to remember what he was told, or did he prepare and this was what the idiots Gaetz and Gabbard (worst debate prep team on the planet) told him to do?

plus nut-bar Laura Loomer's nutbar advice about eating dogs and cats.

What Trump didn't use was Loomer's tweet that if Kamala won the White House would smell like curry.

Oh how I wish Trump would have used that line - say goodbye to 5 million votes just like that.

I think Repubs are feeling just how Dems were feeling after Joe's disastrous debate. But Repubs don't have a next-generation super-savvy woman ready to step in. They're stuck with Trump, and it will be delicious watching him spin out of control.
