Rick, the Lincoln Project folks and substack keep me on the straight and narrow. Casting my vote up and down Democrat. I have admired your work for 10 years now. I can't thank you and your fellow patriots enough for sounding the alarm from the beginning. I truly believe all of the hard work to keep this beautiful project called democracy alive will prevail in the end. I also realize that if we can win this election this battle isn't over. They will clog up our court system as they are doing now with unfounded claims of fraud. Hitler fought to the bitter end until he took the cowards way out. Trumpism will not fade into books of history fast enough. But that day will come. Keep flying the plane and I will do my part and encourage those around me to do the same
Let's recap all the important subjects out of Hitler's Playbook which Rogan (acting as a media propaganda leuitenant) was told not to ask... or decided to evade in this softball interview:
2.) Trump's fascist policies and Authoritarian platform... with Trump you get a Fascist Kleptocratic Authoritarian Government, something The United States has never experienced. All checks and balances will be lost. Trump's idea is he will be the Dictator in Chief, and begin with exonerating himself of all his crimes then he will attack all his so-called enemies, critics, and fact checkers who exposed his lies
3.) Media suppression and censorship Fox, Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, Glenn Beck, with Dave Ramsey will be some of his prime Media propaganda lieutenants while he weaponizes the govt against all other media
4.).Crony capitalism ....Musk bought his way in as "efficiency" advisor, Peter Thiel bought his way in via JD Vance his primary "Yes" Man. RFK Jr his "health minister." Robert Mercer bought his way in via Steve Bannon. Meet the good 'ol boy's ready to hold America captive in years of backwards policies...they all think they will make America "Great" again. Its a club, and we aint in it.
Joe Rogan >Dana White > Vince McMahon > RFK Jr. > Trump > Elon Musk > Peter Thiel > Robert Mercer > Opus Dei > Leonard Leo > New Apostolic Reformation > Heritage Foundation >JD Vance > Laura Loomer > Paula White > Judge Aileen Cannon.
5.) No accountability for our sacred institutions of law and order. He will let all the Jan 6 insurrectionists free. HE WILL help install Project 2025 playbook with Kevin Roberts Heritage Foundation, help ban books, impose tariffs, give tax breaks to millionaires, celebs, and billionaire's. He will focus on mass deportation, abortion bans nationally, isolationist foreign policy, cozy up to Kim Jong Un, Putin, and XiJinping (he just wants to be the toughest "strong" man Autocrat of them all.
6.) Military posturing... He wants to deploy our military at will against the vote of congress and use his nuclear codes as a threat to be the baddest Autocrat on earth. Its all about him and his image. He doesnt care about us as Americans.
1. Attack, Attack, Attack 2. Deny, Deny, Deny 3. Lie, Lie, Lie.... Trump did his best to avoid all these serious topics and cut Rogan off when he tried to even press slightly. Trump wanted to appear calm here, put a chill face on, because he's almost at the finish line to avoid accountability for his legal woes.
If Trump gets this power back in office he will NOT relinquish it for the rest of his life. After 4-8 years of his family assuming power, installing a regime of Project 2025 loyalists, and his infighting, keleptocracy like Putin, many Americans will realize that voting for this man was the worst mistake in United States History. But sadly like Nazi Germany, many Americans want a government like Nazi Germany, and because of this Trump may win. If Trump wins, the American people have spoken...his voters want to be the New Nazi Germany.
The same 'emotional architecture' that allows Ds to worry about the welfare of other people -- the core of progressive political thinking -- also makes Ds more prone to worry in general.
Sorry for reading this as a little trollish; my bad. Yes, absolutely. Democrats also tend to be skeptical, but in a correct way, not in madly resisting all information that doesn't confirm our biases. We don't take things at face value, which leads to our Democratic tendency to constantly second-guess ourselves when Republicans simply self-sooth with talking points.
Personally, I firmly believe there's a huge undercurrent of support for Kamala that isn't caught in the polling:
- 68% of women support Kamala, and that includes Republican women, which pulls the rug out from Republican support
- 40 million 1st-time voters who aren't on the radar of most pollsters
- who has ever seen high-profile Republicans endorsing a Democrat: NEVER happened
- Trump's campaign is spiralling out of control - praising Hitler? mass deportations? enemies of the people? call out the army?
- Trump's rallying his base, which has disproportionate power in a small-turnout election, but this is a record-breaking turnout, and his base's power is severely diminished
- Trump's team is targeting "low propensity" voters (not likely to vote) while Kamala's team is focused on sealing the deal with "high propensity" voters - suburban women, seniors afraid of losing social security, young women concerned about reproductive rights
both of them corroborate Rick's positive message: Kamala's team is on top of it and she's running the best campaign is decades, while Trump is flailing and driving voters (including Republicans) over to Kamala - Trump 2024 may go down as one of the worst campaigns in the history of the nation.
So take heart, Dems.
And remember, Alan Lichtman, who's been right 9 out of 10 times (over 40 years!), is completely confident that his algorithm is still working: Kamala will win.
I’m not afraid of Trump, but I am concerned about his post-election cult wreaking havoc in their communities. The threat is real. I’m afraid of my fellow Americans. That’s the saddest thing for me.
Thank you Rick! I needed to hear this. I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of gloom and doom. Especially with the news of the Washington Post not endorsing for President. I’ve been a subscriber for almost 10 years.
I have voted already, donated, sent postcards. I’ve done what I could for. The waiting is killing me.
I love you because you are a fighter, and some of us need that energy and strength.
I’ll be following you wherever you go after the election.
I will not drink the poison. I do not believe the polls. I firmly believe Harris will win in a landslide, because the tricks to make us feel hopeless and not vote will not work. Women and men who do not want the state to regulate a woman's reproductive organs will decide this. People who love democracy will decide this. We can take care of immigration problems, and go after price gougers. If we lose our democratic republic to fascism, immigration and inflation will be the least of our issues. Vote!
All I know is I have never got this many texts from Ted Cruz before
If it were poison: problem solved! #DontheCon’s narcotic fool-aid has created an epidemic far greater than Fentanyl. 45 million vs 540,000. Voted early (Washington is 100% vote by mail). Hoping to see Carmela Conroy (D) take WA-5 now that Cathy McMorris Trump is retiring.
And working to manifest that Kamala blowout Rick talked about.
Thanks, I needed this!

Fascism Lite™.
Same great authoritarian taste.
20% less death camps.
-- 'What the fuck is wrong with you ?'
-- 'We're Democrats'
That's also what's right about us ;)
The tendencies go hand in hand.
As they also do with Republicans. Your point?
The same 'emotional architecture' that allows Ds to worry about the welfare of other people -- the core of progressive political thinking -- also makes Ds more prone to worry in general.

Churchillian motivation, RIck. Well Done.

I wrote a couple articles:
"5 Reasons for Hope"
https://kamala4prez.substack.com/p/5-reasons-for-hope
and a repost from James Carville
"Kamala Will Win"
https://kamala4prez.substack.com/p/james-carville-kamala-will-win
both of them corroborate Rick's positive message: Kamala's team is on top of it and she's running the best campaign is decades, while Trump is flailing and driving voters (including Republicans) over to Kamala - Trump 2024 may go down as one of the worst campaigns in the history of the nation.

But it all comes down to everyone voting, and then helping another voter get to the polls - that's where the Blue landslide comes in.
😎💙👏🙌👍🔥Thanks Rick Picking up the torch

Great pitch. Logical, positive, emotional, physical, truthful, intelligent and thoughtful… we need this honesty that we recognize straight off.
In that video clip of Trump it honestly looks like he’s wearing blackface.
